Pentathlon November 2020
During this half term key stage 2 have taken part in a pentathlon event that has been rolled out across the county. Every child had a chance to compete in Standing long jump, shuttle runs, vertical jump, chest push and speed bounce. A great effort from all pupils was evident throughout all events.
We were very happy to have a helping hand from Mrs Lister in class 3, ensuring this event ran smoothly.
The results were sent to our school games organiser, we are eagerly awaiting our results.
X-Country Event Autumn Term 2020
During autumn term, our school have been running a X-country course set out by west Lakes Academy. Several school in the area took part, with pupils competing against themselves, trying to get personal bests.
Each age group were given a distance to run, which were marked out within our bubbles. Pupils had as many attempts as they wanted. Some pupils had up to seven attempts! Remarkable.
Lots of children achieved personal bests over the month in which we ran this event.
Lots of encouragement from friends helped tired pupils complete the distance.
T-shirts were awarded to those who had run numerous times. Certificates were given to all contenders.
