Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021

The key people involved in safeguarding:

  • Ms McCabe – Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Mrs Murray – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Ms L’Estrange – Safeguarding Governor

If you wish to speak to a member of school staff Ms McCabe is the Designated Safeguarding Lead.  Mrs Murray will deputise in her absence.  If you have concerns about school staff please contact Ms McCabe or Mr Davidson, Chair of the Local Governing Board.  However, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.  If you have any concerns about a child or family please speak with a member of staff.  All staff and governors are regularly trained in basic safeguarding.  You can also report your concerns directly to the Children Safeguarding Partnership on 033 2401727.  If you believe a child is in immediate danger call 999.

Remember safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility ‘if you see something, say something’

A dedicated NSPCC helpline is now available to support anyone who has experienced sexual abuse in educational settings or has concerns about someone or the issues raised.  The dedicated NSPCC helpline number is 0800 136 663 and more information can be found using the link below:
