At Thornhill Primary School, we encourage children to appreciate different religious beliefs and cultures. We want children to be able to see the importance of diversity within our world and our local community.
Our curriculum is designed to promote debate, discussion and independence. We are committed to developing children’s critical thinking skills, their personal motivation to learn about the wider world, as well as their empathy and understanding of individuals beliefs through our enquiry-based curriculum where they are encouraged to question, reason and investigate. We provide our children with a comprehensive curriculum to enable them to become independent, resilient and responsible members of society who are equipped to make their own informed judgements about any future religious and moral matters they may come across.
