Welcome back to school for our first newsletter of 2020.
I trust everyone had a wonderful Christmas break and enjoyed a few lay-ins as well as the odd festive indulgence.
Spring term is a busy one with lots to look forward to. This includes our Key Stage Two residential visit to London in February. This is shaping up to be a marvellous experience for our children and I am especially pleased that we will get to go to the Houses of Parliament and see inside this historic building. We be learning a great deal about the history of our country by visiting a number of significant landmarks in the capital and discussing their significance in the past and their role today. These will include the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye. I know many of the children are looking forward to visiting Harry Potter World too. A meeting to ensure everyone understands the expectations for the trip will take place at the end of the month, you can attend either meeting to suit your schedule.
Monday 27th January @ Thornhill Primary at 5pm (or)
Wednesday 29th January @ Arlecdon Primary at 5pm
Also this term, we have our annual public speaking competition, another Forest Schools Day and our Literacy week. Keep an eye on the Newsletter for events and for chances to get involved in your child’s school life.
Happy New Year!
