It is with great joy that I am writing this letter.
I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Headteacher of Thornhill Primary School. I wanted to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself. I have worked within the wider community for over 18 years and I am passionate about providing the very best learning opportunities for our young people. I put teaching and learning as well as safeguarding at the heart of everything I do and endeavour to give each child the best possible education.
When I visited the school, I was greeted by well-mannered and enthusiastic children and I am truly looking forward to getting to know them better. The staff and I are committed to ensuring the school is outstanding in everything we do. We will ‘Change Lives Through Learning’ by fostering and instilling a love of learning through a vibrant curriculum, dynamic teaching, and positive relationships.
I will work to ensure I meet all parents face to face as quickly as possible. I believe that communication is of the utmost importance and I cannot wait to develop strong relationships with you, your families, and the wider community. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or thoughts.
Please feel reassured that we will hold high expectations of ourselves and your children, barriers to success will be removed and we will continue to develop the culture and ethos of the school. Your children will be excited to attend school each day and will return home at the end of the day happy and eager to share their tales of their school day. I will work with the Governing Body and The Trust to continue to improve provision and implement their vision and values.
I appreciate your support and thank you for ensuring your children arrive on time in the correct uniform and are ready for the school day. I will be sharing a fortnightly newsletter which will showcase our young people’s learning and update you with news and information.
