Mr D Sharp

I value the opportunity to play a role in helping Arlecdon and Thornhill primary schools to provide a great education for the children attending both schools. I was inspired to become a Governor because as a parent of three children at Thornhill, I was impressed by all the hard work which goes into providing the supportive, nurturing environment that is offered to all children. I have training in emotional support in schools and I believe passionately that children can only learn if they are supported both emotionally and socially.
I bring knowledge of education and SEND with me through working in both primary and secondary schools.

Ms Jennifer Rowlands

I am an experienced School Business Leader with specialisms in HR, finance and leadership development.  I regularly support schools in Cumbria and beyond as a School Resource Management Advisor and champion for disadvantaged students as both a governor and school leader.

Mrs H Finlay

I have been working in education since 2006 when I started work as a Teaching assistant in a large local primary school after a career in Local Government revenues and rating. I later completed teacher training and joined Arlecdon in 2017 initially teaching Years 3 and 4 and then moving to teach Early Years in 2018. I am currently the English, Early years, History and Geography lead. I have a passion for early years teaching and ensuring that children are given the strongest start and opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in all areas to allow them to continue onto the next stage of their education.
