KS2 Golf Lessons January 2020
Class 3 have been enjoying golf this half term. They are learning golf language during the sessions as well as skills. They have worked on putting, chipping, and when the weather permits, driving long shots outside. The children have made progress with accuracy and are getting more shots on target. Team mates are also getting very good at coaching each other to get into the correct position for accuracy. We are looking forward to using these skills at the Tri Golf tournament later in the term.
KS2 Dance November 2019
During autumn term 2, class 3 have been experiencing dance. The children have enjoyed music and routines linked to Halloween and bonfire night as well as to our Christmas play. They have used mirroring and cannon techniques in routines and improvisation. The children had to be the audience at times and give encouraging feedback in the form of stars, for something that was good about a performance and wishes for things to make a performance even better, in a positive way. The pupils were really good at this. Even the reluctant dancers had fun and participation was very good.
KS2 Squash September 2019
During the first half of autumn term, KS2 are enjoying squash for their lessons. The children are improving each session and have already learned how to hold a racket as well as forehand and backhand strokes. They return to school very hot and sweaty having had a great workout!
