Key Stage 2 children took part in Thornhill's very own Bake Off. Pupils worked in teams on activities from showstoppers to technical challenges. This was to develop students Design and Technology skills as each week we worked on new cooking and D&T objectives.
Childrens favourite week was bread week! Here pupils first got to taste existing products to find a gap in the market for their bread. Key Stage 2 then researched and planned their recipe ideas before finally coming to a group decision. Students then baked there bread ready to sell at the Christmas Fayre. Children even made inviting packaging designs to persuade adults and children to buy their bread. This was a very messy project where children enhanced their baking ability and D&T knowledge.
