Home- School Agreement

 

The School will abide by three key rules in everything they do:

  1. They will keep the school community safe using clear policies and procedures, evaluating risk and learning from accidents. They will teach safety to pupils, including e-safety and risks associated with anti-social and unhealthy behaviours.
  2. They will show respect to all members of the school community and they will demonstrate this as role models to the children.
  3. They will ensure an atmosphere which maximises learning so every child can reach their potential. This includes acting upon behaviours which impact on the learning of others and monitoring teaching effectiveness through agreed systems of appraisal, moderation and assessment. They will have a transparent system of finances to ensure that money is uses appropriately to benefit the school community.

 

The Governors will abide by three key rules in everything they do:

  1. They will keep the school community safe using clear policies and procedures, evaluating risk and learning from accidents.
  2. They will show respect to all members of the school community and communicate with them in an effective, clear and timely manner. They will regularly speak with the school community about their experiences.
  3. They will ensure an atmosphere which maximises learning so every child can reach their potential. They will make timely and considered decisions about financial matters and staffing arrangements. They will keep up to date with changes and developments within Education. They will monitor learning through clear and regular arrangements and hold teaching staff to account for attainment and progress.

 

Children should abide by three key rules in everything they do:

  1. They will help to keep the school community safe by behaving in a way that doesn’t endanger themselves or cause harm to others.
  2. They will show respect to all members of the school community in how they interact with others.
  3. They will ensure an atmosphere which maximises learning so every child can reach their potential by working within the school community and behaving in an appropriate way.

 

Parents should abide by three key rules in order to support the school community:

1.They will help to keep the school community safe by behaving in a way that doesn’t endanger themselves or cause harm to others. This includes informing school about issues linked to health and well-being and attendance.

2.They will show respect to all members of the school community in how they interact with others, including other parents. This includes abiding by rules linked to confidentiality and equality. They will show respect for school personnel in their interactions with them face to face and recognise this issues associated with social networking.

3. They will help to maximise their child’s learning by supporting homework tasks including reading. They will provide suitable equipment, including uniform and recognise their role in meeting the financial commitments associated with their child’s learning and well-being (eg) dinner money and educational visits.
